After two years HIHR is happy to reconnect again to Flanders Bio and to organise its 12th pitch-edition in Antwerp on May 31, 2023 with Quickfire sessions scheduled the week before. We settle ourselves again on the eve of Knowledge for Growth and welcome you to a Room with a Zoo, located right next to Antwerp Central Station. In addition to the pitches, we introduce a sneak view on ‘The future of...’. Dr. Pieter Meysman, senior researcher at the Department of Computer Science of the University of Antwerp will kick off this new series. During the future of AI for health. Pieter will take us along in the (potential) applications of AI in health, specifically in the immune field. With his insights in the research and the entrepreneurial journal the late and exciting developments will be discussed.

The pitch event will take place in the Gorilla room, in a Room with a Zoo, conveniently located right next to Antwerp Central Station. We recommend you to come by train. Check here their website for directions, parking and information to enter the building.
Please enter the building at the Carnot Wing (Carnotstraat). You reach this entrance by crossing the Queen Astrid Square and then turning to the right. The Gorilla rooms are located at the 1st floor.
The State of the Union, organised by Flanders Bio and VIB will take place in the very same building, on the opposite site at the Art Nouveau Marble Hall. There will be ample time to walk from our networking drink to this room in the old part of the building.
