Our next pitch edition will take place in Rotterdam on November 22, 2023 with Quickfire sessions scheduled the week before. We happily welcome you in the Rotterdam Science Tower to connect with the newest academic Health Spin-offs from the Benelux.

  • Start ups seeking (pre-)Seed funding are invited to apply for a pitch in the morning sessions
  • Scale ups seeking funding from Series A to pre-IPO are welcome to apply for the afternoon pitches.
  • Early stage ideas or venture proposals not pitch ready yet are warmly invited to register for an online Quickfire session, scheduled the week prior to the pitch event.
  • We also invite alumni projects, seeking additional funding in ‘pre-series A’-stage to apply once more. One project will be selected to present their case, including a 5 minutes address to ‘lessons learned in their Start-up Journey’

HIHR offers a platform for researchers to connect in an informal setting with agents in the life sciences industry. Getting feedback from these experts could help you understand the potential of your technology. The HIHR Quickfire sessions and pitch-events are a great chance to bridge the gap from early academic innovations to real-world impact.

In addition to the pitches, we introduce a sneak view on ‘The future of...’. Hereto we’re seeking top researchers who can enlighten us on the future of oncology, immune therapy, CRISPR-Cas or any other topic of interest to both our investors, industry partners and KTO community. We partner with EIT Health

HIHR is teaming up again with the Investor Lounge of EIT-Health. This way HIHR and EIT Health offer projects in the full pipeline the opportunity to connect with investors, industry partners and KTO-professionals. We invite all HIHR-alumni and ventures that seek funding between €1 and €6 million euro to apply for the EIT Health Investor Network. Ventures that seek funding starting from €6 million euro up to pre-IPO are encouraged to apply for the Venture Centre of Excellence an EIT Health and EIF collaboration. The registration fee for this evaluationproces will be waved for the HIHR-alumni. The procedures for these two fundraising programmes are entirely separate.
