HIHR is a community of Public Research Organisations, investors, industry partners, service providers and spin-offs from the BeNeLux, with a common mission: building and serving the Biotech, Medtech and Digital Health ecosystem by supporting young academic ventures through hands-on coaching & training.
The mission of Healthy Ideas, Healthy Returns is threefold:
- For Researchers: Offer a unique platform where academic life-science spin-off opportunities can receive feedback, gain access to external expertise, and explore financing options.
- For Investors: Provide visibility into science-driven innovations and Benelux venture deal flow within a single event.
- For Networking: Build an active community of entrepreneurs, investors, and academic tech transfer professionals, fostering the exchange of information and connections.
HIHR brings together all major biomedical research organisations in the Benelux—nearly 50 institutes—and organises events that connect academic research institutions, investors, and aspiring entrepreneurs with promising business ideas.
We organise a number of events each year with the following goals:
- To present well-prepared, early-stage investment opportunities to venture capital investors and corporates;
- To provide constructive feedback and access to relevant contacts for business initiatives still in development. Both investors and entrepreneurs benefit from early visibility into emerging ideas and future deal flow;
- To strengthen collaboration and mutual understanding with KTO offices.
