Thanks to the enthusiastic effort of 23 spin off teams, the great help from our volunteers, our sponsors and supporters and the active participation and presence of all our stakeholders we look back on a very successfull and pleasant 15th edition of HIHR.
It consisted of:
– Webinar: As always we kicked of our journey to guide researchers in their transition to market oriented entrepreneurs by yet another outstanding session on Resonating with Investors, given by Jeff Skinner from London Business School.
– Successful Quickfire sessions: Guided by our volunteer-experts, early stage ideas or venture proposals not pitch ready yet presented their projects and got valuable insights and feedback from investors, venture builders, industry partners and KTO-experts during 14 online quickfire sessions.
– 2nd KTO Meet up: on the morning of November 20, over 20 KTO professionals gathered and entered into a conversation with representatives of pharma industry to explore hurdles and opportunities in university – industry collaboration.
– Pitch event:
- Under the dynamic and very knowledgeable moderation of Jeff Skinner, 8 new start ups presented their proposition at an interactive and enjoyable live pitch event in Utrecht that same afternoon.
- In between Prof Nathalie Cools of the University of Antwerp took us by the hand on the latest and future developements of Cell & Gene Therapie.
- This was competed by 1 alumni project who also shared their ‘lessons learned in their start up journey’ ever since their first pitch at HIHR.
